I admit that this post borders on geeky, but hear me out. Water has to go somewhere once it falls from the sky. Streams and rivers take it to lakes and oceans, but many times it stops in a wetland. As the City of Edmonds wrestles with Critical Areas in our city, keep in mind we’re not just talking about the environment, we’re also talking about how we preserve what we have as our population increases. For many of us, outdoor recreation refreshes us like nothing else. Being able to walk through the woods or along the waterfront right from our front door is a rare treat we dare not forget to appreciate.
